How to Stream Fox Sports RSNs and YES Network Without Cable, After YouTube TV Drops Fox Regional Sports Networks
It’s been a tough couple of months for sports fans, as Fox Sports RSNs and YES Network has disappeared from Sling TV, fuboTV, and starting February 29th, YouTube TV. With the addition of the shutdown of PlayStation Vue, there are becoming fewer places to stream your favorite teams on Regional Sports Networks (RSN).
The channels cover 14 MLB teams, 17 NBA teams and 13 NHL teams across channels like YES Network, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports West, Fox Sports South, and Fox Sports Ohio (a full list is below). Fortunately, there are still two options to stream Fox Regional Sports Networks and YES Network, on streaming players like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV, even if you don’t have cable or satellite.
Hulu Live TV
Hulu Live TV is now the cheapest option for watch your favorite regional sports team if they are carried by Fox Sports RSNs. At $55 a month, you will get local channels in most markets, your local RSNs, national sports channels like ESPN, NBC Sports Network, TBS, and TNT.
In comparison to YouTube TV, you’ll lose NBA TV, MLB Network, AMC and WE tv, but you’ll gain A&E, BET, Comedy Central, History, Lifetime, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, and VH1.
If you’re a College Sports fan, you’ll still get ACC Network, Big Ten Network, SEC Network, ESPNU, and CBS Sports Network.
Cloud DVR
Includes 50 Hour DVR (but you can’t skip ads), can upgrade to 200 hour DVR for $9.99 a month, which includes the ability to fast-forward through ads.
Max Streams
Includes up to 2 Simultaneous Streams, but can upgrade to Unlimited Screens in your home (and 3 on mobile) for $9.99 a month.
AT&T TV NOW
Your only other option is to subscribe to AT&T TV NOW. At $80 a month however, it doesn’t make sense to subscribe to the service just to watch your local team. You will get a better channel line-up if you subscribe to Hulu Live TV. However, if you are grandfathered into a legacy AT&T TV NOW plan, you may want to consider this as an option.
In comparison to YouTube TV, you’ll gain No Channels, but you’ll lose AMC, Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, Investigation Discovery, TLC, Travel Channel, and WE tv.
If you’re a College Sports fan, you’ll also get ACC Network, ACC Network Extra, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, ESPNU, SEC Network, and truTV. But, in order to get your local RSN, you will need to splurge for their $80 Max Plan — which at that point, you mind as well choose another Live TV Streaming Service or switch back to cable.
