What MLB Teams Can You Stream on the Bally Sports App?
If you want to stream your favorite MLB, NHL, or NBA team with the Bally Sports App or Bally Sports+, you can do that on your phone, tablet, or connected TV device like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or Apple TV. But is it available for all of your favorite teams?
What MLB Teams Can Bally Stream DTC?
In the case of Bally Sports+, live coverage is limited to just five MLB teams:
If you live in those teams’ markets, you can watch with a Bally Sports+ subscription for $19.99 / month.
Bally does have broadcast agreements with other MLB teams, but those can only be viewed with a live TV streaming subscription like DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo.
How can you stream games in the Bally Sports App?
If you use your cable, satellite, or a streaming subscription to DIRECTV STREAM or Fubo, you can use your TV Everywhere credentials to access the Bally Sports App. Every team that is available on your local Bally Sports RSN will also be available to you in the Bally Sports App.
While both DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo carry Bally Sports networks, there are differences in the other RSNs they carry.
DIRECTV STREAM has MASN2, Monumental Sports Network, Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum SportsNet LA, and SportsNet NY.
But Fubo has Arizona's Family Sports, NBC Sports Philadelphia, and NBC Sports Philadelphia+.
Fubo also provides the RSNs at a lower price point, since DIRECTV STREAM users need to upgrade to the “Choice” package ($114.99 / month) to get those channels.
Assuming both DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo have the sports channels you want, you’ll have to look elsewhere to make the choice.
DIRECTV STREAM’s most basic package includes 31 of the top 35 cable channels, which tops Fubo’s 19.
Fubo offers 4K if you subscribe at the Elite level ($114.99 / month). You’ll usually see sports events on NBC, FOX, FS1, and Big Ten Network available in ultra high-definition.
DIRECTV STREAM does not currently offer 4K.
DIRECTV STREAM allows unlimited recording that will stay on the service for nine months. Fubo offers a 1000-hour DVR.
