Local Market Broadcasts

Most National Hockey League (NHL) telecasts will air on your Regional Sports Network (RSN). If you follow your hometown team, more than 80% of their games will air on your local RSN.

You can stream 21 of 24 U.S.-based NHL teams locally on Live TV Streaming Services.

You won’t be able to stream Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Vegas Golden Knights regular season games in your local market.

None of the services currently offer streaming for Canadian teams:
Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and Winnipeg Jets.

You may consider subscribing to Sportsnet NOW for in-market streaming.

Overflow Channels

Some games that appear on overflow channels may require you to watch on Fox Sports Go or NBCSports App.

Nationally Televised Broadcasts

Nationally televised games that don’t air on your team’s RSN may air on NBCSN or NBC. Most services include this channel as part of their entry level package.

Some of these games will air exclusively on these channels and won’t be available on your local RSN. You’ll also need these channels to watch the entire Stanley Cup Playoffs.

NHL Network broadcasts an additional ~100 non-exclusive games every year.

For the general hockey fan, this is a good option to see teams that play outside of your home market.

You won’t be able to watch your local team though, as games of teams in your local market will be blacked out if the game is also being broadcast on your local RSN.
